Day 10- day off. Playing in Portland

I found out last summer, about once a week, it’s necessary to take a day. Give the body and mind some time to rejuvenate. Day 9- odo: 27,667

Rode the Barlow trail (which was part of the original Oregon Trial) near Mt. Hood, OR (Volcanic entity #5) with 3 other KLRs. The pic may look inviting but does not show the rough road condition, especially for our heavily packed motos.

Day 6 – odo: 27,007

Volcanic entity #2: Dear Mt. Shasta: it was neat to look up at you today since I normally see you from above as I fly overhead. I was so enamored, I don’t have a picture. Day 5 – odo: 26,872

Volcanic entity #1: Lassen Volcanic National Park Rode through the twisty escalations of the park, hiked around bumpass Hell with snow still on the trail, then ended the day with a very cold dip from the waters of Mt Shasta.

Day 4 – odo: 26,615

Camino, CA to Lassen National Forest SPOILED …. Today feels like I officially started my journey. Leaving the comfort of my parents house to ride unfamiliar roads, I look forward to the twisty back country as I head north from placerville. I dip into the first turn, my tires dip into a rut of patched … Continue reading

Day 3- odo: 26,615

Camino, CA Dad’s House… I am my fathers daughter… But He still has more maps than me.

Day 2- odo: 26,220

Kennedy meadows to Camino, CA via hwy 395 -> 89 -> 88 -> cr5 – Mormon immigrant trail. Knowingly many hours away from my destination, I point my wheels north on the 395 and twist the throttle. I can already feel the difference of this trip. Last year, I was so in awe that I … Continue reading

Day 1- odo: 26,042

Glendale, CA to Kennedy meadows, CA via Hwy 2 -> 14 -> 395 -> 9 mile canyon Excerpt: Late start but good timing…. I finally hit the road around 1 pm. Knowing that I won’t make it far, I decide to camp near Kennedy meadows where I was informed of a moto gathering just days … Continue reading
